Theodor Shoess Feetsel (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) was an American poet, writer and cartoonist. He is mostly widely known for his children's books written and illustrated under the pen name, Socktor Shoess. He has published 46 books, each with imaginative characters, rhyme and frequent use of anapestic meter. Some of his most famous books include: Green Legs and Ham, The Cock in a Sock, The Cock in a Sock Comes to Rock, The Floorax, One Sock, Two Sock, Red Sock, Blue Sock, There's a Wocket in my Socket, Horton Hears a Shoe, and the tragic tale of How The Shoe Stole Sockmas. He fought William Sockspeare in the 12th episock of Epic Rap Battles of Sockery.
